A good quality photograph is the first step to a beautiful work of art!
Feel free to send multiple photos and I can choose one that is suitable or work from multiple photographs in some cases.
Please make sure that you send high resolution photographs where your pet is in focus and large enough for me to see the details of their features. If you have a high quality digital camera that’s great, otherwise your smart phone will work just fine.
No flash please.
Either natural light or a well lit indoor space will be fine but try to avoid strong direct light that will cast dark shadows (unless you prefer dramatic lighting).
Put yourself at eye level with your pet and try to capture that expression you love. The straight forward “shoulders up” portrait is always nice, as well as the ¾ view, or feel free to try something different - like your pet looking up at you or laying down with paws in the foreground, be creative!
If you are sending professional photographs then I will need a signed release form from the artist who owns the copyright.
